Innovate, Collaborate, Sustain: Your Partner for Renewable Solutions

Projects

Smart For The Environment. Smart For Your Wallet

In its relatively short history, The Renewable Group has emerged as a trailblazer in the renewable energy sector, spearheading a series of innovative projects that showcase its commitment to sustainable solutions.

The Renewable Group’s Completed Projects:

Ash dam Solar Farm
Arranging a bid for a solar farm to be developed on an ash dam on the site of a coal fired power station. This project involved assessing the safety and viability of utilising an environmentally difficult site and developing a unique strategy for the supporting structures of the solar panels. At the end of the day, the client did not proceed with any bidders.
Avenues To Overcome Issues
At the end of the Ash dam solar farm bid, The Renewable Group raised with the client certain economic issues bedevilling the project. The client then retained The Renewable Group to deliver a white paper on avenues to overcome those issues.
H2 Hub Proposal
The Renewable Group contributed to the H2 Hub Proposal for the HunterNet 2019 Future Leaders Program.
Rural NSW Hydrogen Project
The Renewable Group partnered with the Australian subsidiary of a large Spanish renewable energy company to develop a 48mw hydrogen project in rural NSW. When our partner required a doubling in size of the project, we determined there was insufficient water available to sustain the project at that size. We then withdrew from the project.

The Renewable Group’s Continuing Projects:

Secure Perimeter Fencing
Ongoing development of secure perimeter fencing structures that are readily installed, immediately secure, reusable and require no concrete
Hydrogen-Based Batteries
Ongoing development of 5 – 100 Megawatt plus Hydrogen-based battery technology.
Hydrogen On Demand

Research and development on the production of Hydrogen on demand in situ for back up and emergency power, logistics, and remote power opportunities including off grid arrangements. This technology has the prospect of reducing reliance in logistics on lithium batteries and overcomes the difficulties that can be associated with the transportation of hydrogen.

The Renewable Group has a number of associates working with it on this project including Universities, scientists, manufacturers and suppliers. TRG is commencing its search for end users desiring to grid-proof their operations to avoid blackouts and other power shortages or outages. The particular products being developed by The Renewable Group will be off-grid and have limited risk of cyber attack.

Nontoxic Aluminium Hydroxide
Research and development of nontoxic methods of producing Aluminium Hydroxide. The current main process for the production of Aluminium Hydroxide is the Bayer process. The Bayer process results in the production of a toxic red mud residue. Although studies are underway on the possible use of that red mud in the production of steel, our process avoids the creation of an additional resource.
